Study Aim: To summarize the comparative efficacy of pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic interventions for treating aggression and agitation in adults with dementia

Key Findings:

As compared to usual care, the following interventions were found to be more effective:

  • multidisciplinary care
  • massage and touch therapy
  • music combined with massage and touch therapy
