PAID ADVERTISEMENT: Bottom Line Conference on Workplace Mental Health

This Canadian Mental Health Association’s exciting Bottom Line Conference will feature keynote speeches from lawyer Ardith (Walpetko We’dalx) Walkem of the Nlaka’pamux Nation and diversity and inclusion professional Marni Panas.

The conference theme, Dismantling Barriers, Opening Doors: Inclusion at Work, explores how one’s sense of belonging – or lack of belonging – affects worker psychological health and safety and impacts workplace culture.

We will hear from those with lived experience speak about how being included or excluded affected their health, workplace participation, and recovery. We will hear about the ways in which exclusion shows up at work: as bullying, and as the systemic bias that fuels bullying such as racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia and transphobia. We will also listen for stories where loneliness is transformed through the kind of meaningful connections that can develop when our work is a community.

Presented by the Canadian Mental Health Association, the annual conference provides an opportunity to build skills and share real experiences and successes while working towards the common goal of transforming Canadian workplaces into psychologically safe and supportive places where everyone can work safely and thrive.

Register soon! The deadline for registration is February 21. Learn more and register at www.bottomlineconference.ca
