The UK Connection

I have just completed a great 2-day workshop presented by Brain Tree Training entitled "Attention and Information Processing- Advanced Cognitive Rehabilitation Workshop" .

If you were lucky enough to attend the introductory workshop in 2009, you will know that Kit Malia and Anne Brannagan (or as Ricardo coined "Kitanne") are a great presentation duo. Kit and Anne have over 20 years experience working at the Headly Court Military Rehabilitation Centre in Epsom, Surrey.

From review of the neural networks theory of attention, assessment and treatment of attention to the theory and models, assessment and treatment of information processing, the workshop taught practical information that therapists can incorporate into practice. If you work in the area of brain injury, I highly recommend attending one of these workshops if you have the opportunity.
Congratulations to Sue Colbourne, OT at JR Rehab for winning the CAOT-BC prize draw for the CAOT publication, Business in Clinical Practice: How to get there from here by Diana H. Hopkins-Rosseel and Bradley Roulston.
