CAOT-BC Receives a Response from TransLink Board Chair

CAOT-BC received the following response from TransLink in response to a letter sent to the Board of Directors on May 18, 2012 supporting the continuation of the Taxi Saver Program (Please refer to the previous blog posting of May 19, 2012 to see the letter sent to TransLink):

June 7, 2012

Dear Ms. Boniface, RE: TaxiSaver Program
Thank you for sharing your perspective on the TaxiSaver program.

On May 30, 2012, TransLink and the board announced we are putting a decision on the TaxiSaver program on hold; no changes will be made to the program at this time. We have also committed to further engaging with voucher users, stakeholders and Access Transit's User Advisory Committee. We want to hear directly from individuals like you, and better understand your concerns and ideas. Peter Hill, Manager of Access Transit for TransLink, is leading the engagement and I have passed along your views and comments to be considered in this process.

We will keep you informed as we move through this process. We welcome your continued participation in helping us find the solutions to provide better custom transit services for those who need them the most.

Thank you again for taking the time to share your perspective.

Kind regards,

Nancy Olewiler
