Support OT: Become a Fieldwork Educator

Have you been thinking about how you can help the OT profession in 2013 and beyond? Consider becoming a fieldwork educator. Offering a student placement is an excellent way to support our profession and  contribute to the education of future clinicians.

The UBC Department of Occupational Science & Occupational Therapy will be hosting a series of Fieldwork Educator’s Workshops in January 2013.

The workshop is a full-day dedicated to discussing the issues of supervising students, and will focus on the acquisition of skills and strategies for supervising OT students in any setting. It is valuable for preparing the therapist who has not educated a student and valuable for the seasoned fieldwork educator in updating and validating problem-solving skills used to meet the challenges of clinical education.

If you are interested in attending the workshop, please RSVP at your earliest convenience by completing the online registration form at http://osot.ubc.ca/fieldwork/clinicians/workshops/#seven.

Any questions can be sent to Sarah Henderson, MOT Program Assistant (sarah.j.henderson@ubc.ca).
