Each participant will be guided through a unique, active learning educational experience, which involves viewing videos of cadaveric dissected specimens and drawing the hand muscles with coloured markers onto a glove on which the bones have been printed. Client stories will be presented to illustrate (a) the anatomical cause of muscle imbalance resulting from nerve injuries and orthotic intervention to substitute for lost motor power (b) extensor mechanism pathology and orthotic intervention (c) orthotic intervention for musicians, a head-injured Paralympic cyclist and persons with extreme joint hypermobility.
