Some candidates and MLA's may not have an understanding of what occupational therapy is and its imortant role in the BC health care system. Help us change that by getting involved during this election.
Our goals are to:
- Raise awareness about occupational therapy
- Increase the understanding of occupational therapy's role in the health and well-being of British Columbians
- Promote occupational therapy
How can you help? Here are some ideas:
- Write a letter to the Editor- Letters to the editor are frequently read sections of a newspaper. Consider writing a letter to address a health care issue of relevance in your community and practice- How to write a letter to the editor
- Make contact- Meet with individual candidates or plan to attend an all candidates meeting- Find out who your candidates are in your riding. Call the candidate's campaign manager and request a meeting or to find out information about all candidates meetings. CAOT-BC has created a member resource to help you ask key questions.
