ICBC is committed to paying fair compensation to its
suppliers, while keeping insurance rates as low as possible and delivering good
service to customers. These rates are fair and reasonable based on our market
analysis, and are consistent with rates paid by WorkSafeBC and other insurance
providers.
The new rates will take effect May 1, 2013, and will
be retroactive to January 1, 2012. For details on how to submit retroactive invoices, please email Linda Calbick (linda.calbick@icbc.com)
In addition to the increased rates, ICBC is also
introducing a new participation agreement, which outlines performance
guidelines as well as administrative, operational and service quality
requirements that OTs must meet when working with customers who have an ICBC
claim.
This agreement can be found on a newly created webpage dedicated to occupational therapists on the
ICBC website: http://partners.icbc.com/health-services/OT.asp.
The participation agreement will need to be signed on
an annual basis. All OTs that sign the participation agreement
will be placed on an approved list of providers and will receive referrals from
ICBC staff.
In addition, copies of the OT reporting templates can be found on the ICBC website: http://partners.icbc.com/health-services/OT.asp
ICBC has an obligation to ensure OTs providing care to our customers are properly licensed and are members in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of BC. This participation agreement will create a formal governance framework to ensure that ICBC customers consistently receive high-quality care, service and treatment.
Please review the participation
agreement and return a signed copy by April 30, 2013 by mail, fax or
email:
