Meeting with BCCPD

July 2013- CAOT-BC met with Jane Dyson, executive director of the BC Coalition of People with Disabilities. Topics of discussion included:

• Changes to HandyDART buses used by BC Transit on Vancouver Island and the adverse impact on people with disabilities

• The Equipment and Assistive Technology Initiative (EATI)- funding for EATI will expire on March 31, 2014

• Limitations to ICBC Part 7 Benefits- CAOT-BC will join the BCCPD led advocacy committee addressing this issue

Moving forward, our organizations made a commitment to work together on advocacy issues of mutual concern.
