2016 Townsend & Polatajko Lectureship


This Lectureship was established by the Canadian Society of Occupational Science (CSOS) in recognition of the contributions of Drs. Elizabeth Townsend and Helene Polatajko as the founders of the CSOS. This award honours these two scholars' numerous efforts to foster occupational science in Canada and their internationally influential scholarship regarding occupation. This Lectureship is given at each CSOS conference to a person who meets the following criteria:
 
  • The nominee has made a significant contribution to scholarship of relevance to occupational science;
  • The nominee has made a significant contribution to education of relevance to occupational science; and/or
  • The nominee has made a significant contribution to the development of the occupational science community in Canada.
The CSOS welcomes nominations for individuals who fit the above criteria and who have wide-ranging disciplinary and national locations.

The Lectureship will be presented at the 2016 Joint CSOS/SSO:USA conference in late September/early October in Portland, Maine. By accepting the Lectureship, the recipient confirms his/her presence at the conference. Travel costs and registration fees are included in the Lectureship.
