The "OT Tricks of the Trade & Treats"
event, held over lunchtime on Halloween, saw over 100 Providence Health Care staff, students,
patients, and family members drop by to meet the OTs of St Paul's, pick up some goodies (courtesy of CAOT-BC), and learn more about occupational therapy. With fun, interactive
stations, including "You OT to Know This" (cognitive challenges),
"Can you HANDle it?" (featuring OTs from Hand Therapy), "Sock
Aid to Me!" (adaptive aid dressing challenges), and "Go-OTlocks and
the Three Chairs" (ROHO seating demonstrations), the event highlighted the
many ways that occupational therapists can positively contribute to patient care and outcomes in an
acute care setting.
Kudos to Andrea Smith and the other occupational therapists of St. Paul's for putting together a great event!
