This series of three lunch-and-learn presentations provide
education relating to prevention of and care for individuals at risk of
developing pressure injuries. The presentations will be of interest to
clinicians, home medical equipment providers, and care-providers. Each session
is scheduled to begin at 12:05 pm, wrapping up by 12:50 pm.
This first session focuses on Clinical Concepts Relating to Support Surfaces and Prevention of Pressure Injuries, presented by Kelly Bethune, OT. The second session focuses on Properties and Applications of Foams and Composite Surfaces. The third session focuses on Low Air Loss and Alternating Pressure Surfaces.
Our purpose in presenting these sessions in sequence is to reinforce active collaboration between prescribers, equipment providers, and direct care providers to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
