Resource for your Practice: Arthritis at Home

Looking for supportive resources for your clients with arthritis during the COVID-19 pandemic? 

“Arthritis At Home” brings arthritis clinical, research and patient experts from across Canada “face-to-face” into homes across Canada through ACE’s website and Facebook and YouTube channels. Arthritis At Home interviews are 10 to 15 minutes long and come to you on #MotivationMonday, #WellnessWednesday and #FactsFriday.

Past episodes include:

  • Alison Hoens, Affiliate Knowledge Broker at Arthritis Research Canada, and Research, Education, and Practice Coordinator in the Department of Physiotherapy at Providence Health Care speaks on recovery and telerehab after shoulder surgery with rheumatoid arthritis during COVID-19
  • Cristina Montoya, Registered Dietitian, discusses nutrition and arthritis during COVID19. She covers how immunocompromised individuals can practice food safety during COVID-19, what types of food to keep in your pantry, and mindful eating.
  • Dr. Jane Purvis, a rheumatologist from Peterborough, Ontario and the President of the Ontario Rheumatology Association (ORA), speaks on the rise of virtual care and telehealth during COVID-19. She also shares results of a recent Ontario Rheumatology Association patient survey regarding their experience with telehealth.
