Limited Seats: Cognitive Orientation to Occupational Performance

BC Children’s Hospital is hosting a Cognitive Orientation to Daily Occupational Performance (CO-OP) course  in Vancouver, BC with Dr. Helene Polatajko and Anne Hunt October 26 and 27th.

This comprehensive two-
day course, facilitated by Dr. Helene Polatajko, a leader in the development of the COOP and lead author of Enabling occupation in children: The Cognitive Orientation to Daily Occupational Performance (COOP) approach, and Anne Williams Hunt, a leader in the use of COOP with adults with acquired brain injury, will introduce occupational therapists and physiotherapists to the Cognitive Orientation to Daily Occupational Performance (COOP), including training in its concepts, background theory and practical application.

This approach has been designed to help people who have difficulty performing motor-based skills. It is appropriate for those working with both adult and paediatric populations. Children with developmental coordination disorder, dyslexia, asbergers and other learning difficulties have benefited from this approach. Adults who have experienced a stroke have also benefitted in re-acquiring motorl skills and adapting to life with different physical abilities.
