Ask for It Campaign to be Launched in October for OT Month

CAOT will be launching a national advertising campaign this October for OT Month! Keep your eyes peeled for billboards in Vancouver, Edmonton, Regina, Winnipeg, Toronto, Montreal, Halifax, Fredericton and St. John's, as well as bus ads in Ottawa promoting the message "Occupational therapy works… Ask for it!" Add your voice by hanging the free poster and bumper sticker that will be coming to you in the mail. Get involved by sharing pictures on Facebook and Twitter, and tell colleagues, clients, family and friends to Ask for it!

Sign up today to join CAOT's Brenda McGibbon Lammi and Kate Rexe on September 27, 2012 at noon for a free, live Water Cooler Talk to introduce the Ask for it! campaign. The goal of the campaign is to raise awareness of the benefits of occupational therapy and to promote the inclusion of OT services in extended health benefit plans. With OT Month around the corner, it's time to start thinking about why advocacy is important to all occupational therapists. CAOT has also developed a series of resource sheets to support the Ask for it! campaign and your advocacy actions. Click here to download the first in a series of CAOT member resources. Email Kate Rexe to find out more about the 2012 OT Month campaign and CAOT's new advocacy resources.
