The OTAHN consists of
Indigenous and non-Indigenous CAOT members with an interest in building
capacity, lobbying for occupational therapy services, and generating a greater
discourse on occupational therapy and Aboriginal peoples’ health in
Canada. The OTAHN is a volunteer group who work with the Canadian
Association of Occupational Therapists National Office staff to develop
networking and supports, resources and lobby efforts to build and promote
occupational therapy services with Aboriginal clients and communities across Canada.
The network meets for
a 1 hour bimonthly teleconference with members participating on the calls and
on ongoing projects as their interests and capacity allows. The expectation is
to attend calls as schedules permit and participate in teleconference discussions
and ongoing projects as able.
The next meeting is an ‘open call’ with lots of time for Q & A from new
members on Wednesday,
January 18, 2017 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m Mountain Time
