Resource for your Practice: Mental Health Commission of Canada

The Mental Health Commission of Canada(MHCC) has a variety of valuable resources in their online library.

You can access:
  • Webinars on topics such as ‘Substance use and suicide among youth: prevention and intervention strategies’ and ‘Mental illness-related stigma in healthcare’.
  • MHCC annual reports which include the year’s accomplishments and the upcoming year’s goals
  • The MHCC newsletter with up-to-date information on the commission’s activities, as well as an outline of the commission’s focus areas

For those practitioners working in mental health, and anyone interested in the work that the Mental Health Commission of Canada is doing to “build a mental health system that is inclusive, adaptable, and supports people in Canada who are living with mental health problems and illnesses…” an exploration of this resource would be worthwhile.
