BC Bid Opportunity for OTs: Services for Children

Title: MCFD Notice to Vendors: Services for Children
www.bcbid.ca Solicitation Number: 445517

The Ministry of Children and Family Development intends to post a Request for Proposal (RFP) on the BC Bid website to find a qualified proponent to deliver support services to children and youth transitioning from being in the care of MCFD to legally permanent placements. The services will be delivered in the South Fraser area (Langley, Surrey, White Rock, Delta).
The Ministry will be seeking proposals from proponents who can implement the support program for children and youth moving to legally permanent homes.. The children and youth may be Aboriginal, may have other ethnicity, and may have a wide range of special needs.

It is anticipated that the budget for this support service will be approximately $450,000 annually.

The Ministry's objective is to increase supports for children and youth as well as foster families and permanency families involved in the transition process. The process is intended to be fair, open and transparent, and to provide vendors with fair access to information on procurement opportunities, processes and results.

The Ministry is currently developing service requirements and anticipates the posting of the Request for Proposals on BC Bid in mid July 2017. The RFP will be posted for a 3 week period. The RFP will invite responses from qualified suppliers with the experience, capacity and qualifications to provide services in the identified area. The full scope of the opportunity will be contained in the RFP and it is anticipated that no additional information will be made available prior to posting.
