CAOT-BC Networking & Education Day: September 29 in Kelowna, BC


CAOT-BC's Networking & Education Day is back, and you don't want to miss our amazing guest speakers:
Kathy Corbett, COTBC Registrar and CEO will speak on Accountability: The Heart of Professional Practice. This presentation will reinforce key principles of professional accountability and application of COTBC standards of practice to support safe, ethical and quality practice.  Approaches to improve practice and avoiding pitfalls will also be explored.

Interested in suicide prevention training? This day will include safeTALK, a half-day alertness training program that prepares participants to become suicide-alert helpers. 

Lars Taylor, OT and certified driver rehabilitation specialist, will speak on the role of the occupational therapist in determining driver medical fitness and what can and cannot be done when the driving ability of a client is of concern.

Registration fees include lunch and refreshments. Event proceeds will be targeted to CAOT-BC's public awareness activities.
