It’s time to get good equipment out of the basement
and into new homes!
Community-based OT Kevin Chow identified a problem and
AssistList is the
solution.
Launched Feb 11, 2018, AssistList’s free-to-use
website allows individuals to connect and buy / sell / donate equipment they no
longer need. The website is easy to navigate and an account is not needed to
browse equipment.
AssistList is a non-profit
organization run by “a group of volunteers with a vision to create a safe, reliable,
and free resource that provides assistance to our community.”
Until it evolves further, AssistList will be dealing in: mobility aids, bathroom
safety, transfer aids, daily living aids, and bedroom equipment.
The website needs to be populated with listings and OTs
can help by letting their clients/ networks know.
Let’s spread the word and help AssistList become a thriving
hub! Check out AssistList here.
