The
Globe and Mail looks back 100 years to the day and commemorates our beginnings
by highlighting the University of Toronto’s six-week program that gave 21 women
skills to help injured soldiers get back to their regular, daily activities. Within
a year and a half, 300 women were enrolled in a six-month course, and
occupational therapy was born! Shelby Blackley
