We know that medicine is health care. However, many British Columbians can’t access medicine they need because of costs.
According to one study, 29 percent of respondents in British Columbia – more than any other province in the country – said they or someone else in their household hadn’t taken medication as prescribed because they couldn’t afford to.
A national drug plan that is universal, public, accessible, and affordable for everyone is needed.
