Evidence for your Practice: Improving self-care and mobility in children with cerebral palsy

Study Aim: To assess whether adding an education programme for primary caregivers to conventional rehabilitation improves daily functioning in children with cerebral palsy. 

Population: Children aged 1 to 12 with cerebral palsy.

Key Finding:
Participants who received an educational programme  for primary caregivers (12 sessions of 45 minutes) in addition to conventional rehabilitation showed improvements in self-care and mobility.
