Resource for your Practice: The Ability Toolkit

The Canadian 24-Hour Movement Guidelines for Children and Youth have been released as formal recommendations for optimal activity patterns for children ages 5-17 years.

Children of all abilities may be able to meet the guideline recommendations, with some modifications. The Ability Toolkit was developed with this goal in mind. It offers information regarding the content of the guidelines, provides examples of activity modifications, and details additional community resources that may be helpful to parents.

The parent-centered resource was developed by an integrative team of stakeholders, including parents of children with a disability.
