Reporting to the Managing Director, the Deputy Managing Director (DMD) supports the Managing Director in the day-to-day operations of CAOT-BC. The DMD supports the Managing Director to ensure that CAOT-BC achieves its strategic objectives.
Required Qualifications:
- Entry level degree in occupational therapy;
- Currently registered in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia;
- Membership in good standing with CAOT and the World Federation of Occupational Therapists;
- Demonstrated management and leadership experience;
- Demonstrated interest in advocacy, lobbying and professional representation;
- Demonstrated leadership skills at the local or provincial level;
- Demonstrated understanding of professional issues facing occupational therapists in British Columbia;
- Demonstrated skills in organization and time management;
- Excellent written and verbal communication;
- Excellent collaboration skills;
- Willingness to work from home;
- Willingness to travel.
Recommended Qualifications:
- Experience with volunteer intensive service operations;
- Experience with MS Office Standard (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
