CAOT-BC Deputy Managing Director

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Deputy Managing Director (DMD) supports the Managing Director in the day-to-day operations of CAOT-BC. The DMD supports the Managing Director to ensure that CAOT-BC achieves its strategic objectives.

Required Qualifications:

• Entry level degree in occupational therapy;
• Currently registered in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia;
• Membership in good standing with CAOT and the World Federation of Occupational Therapists;
• Demonstrated management and leadership experience;
• Demonstrated interest in advocacy, lobbying and professional representation;
• Demonstrated leadership skills at the local or provincial level;
• Demonstrated understanding of professional issues facing occupational therapists in British Columbia;
• Demonstrated skills in organization and time management;
• Excellent written and verbal communication;
• Excellent collaboration skills;
• Willingness to work from home;
• Willingness to travel.

Recommended Qualifications:

• Experience with volunteer intensive service operations;
• Experience with MS Office Standard (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
