Resource for your Practice: Inspire Health

Missed CAOT-BC's lunch-time webinar with Inspire Health last month? Access the archive at your convenience here.

InspireHealth Supportive Cancer Care provides person-centered care to support the health and well-being for people living with cancer and their families. Our programs and services teach powerful lifestyle approaches to alleviate symptoms of cancer and its treatment, reduce the likelihood of recurrence and optimize health and well-being. As of April 2015 the membership fee has been removed, making this a no-cost option for those with a diagnosis, and their supports, to actively participate in their own health.
Our services include:

  • Consultations with medical doctors, clinical counselors, exercise therapists, and nutritionists.
  • Programs and classes including exercise, yoga, meditation, art therapy, and cooking; plus our signature two day LIFE Program.
  • Online resources including webinars, recipes, research updates, and online meditation.

Centres are located in Vancouver, Victoria, and Kelowna, with virtual offerings accessible across Canada. To qualify, one requires a current or past cancer diagnosis, a personal health number or equivalent, and be over the age of 15. No referral is necessary. Self-registration can be done in person at one of our centres, over the phone (604-734-7125), or online (www.inspirehealth.ca).

As a not-for-profit, we rely on word of mouth to advertise our services. If you have clients, friends, or family that would benefit from learning more, please consider passing along our information.
