Black Voices in Occupational Therapy

Join on March 25th from 5:00-6:30pm PST for a live play-reading produced by Summit Performance Indianapolis, featuring a play written by writer Kelsey Johnson and read by actors Josiah McCruiston, Candice Handy, and Zariya Butler - directed by Mikael Burke.

Drs. Sally Wasmuth (IUPUI), Khalilah Johnson (UNC), and Linn Wakeford (UNC) partner with occupational therapy students Cierra Milton (IUPUI), Breonna Caldwell (UNC), and Kierra Peak (UNC) to interview Black occupational therapy (OT) students and practitioners about their experiences within the field of OT. These interviews form the basis of the stories portrayed in Johnson's play.

The reading will be followed by a panel discussion with some of the interviewers and interviewees, moderated by Mitzi Wilson.
